KUN Field Notes is a personal technology blog. Reading articles, using tools and browsing the timeline requires no account. There are no comment, submission or private-message forms. For privacy questions, corrections, general enquiries or business contact, email [email protected].

Email you choose to send

If you email me, your address and message are delivered through your email provider. I use them to reply, handle corrections or discuss a possible collaboration, not to add you to a marketing list. Messages are kept until the conversation and necessary follow-up end. You can request access, correction or deletion by emailing the same address, except where retention is required by law.

Browser preferences and search

The light or dark theme choice is stored in your browser’s localStorage under the key theme; clear this site’s browser data to remove it. When switching a tool page’s language, the current selection is held temporarily in this tab’s sessionStorage and removed after the destination page reads it. Site search runs in your browser over public articles and does not submit search terms to this site’s server. The RSS feed contains public article summaries; this site does not receive subscriber email addresses or reader accounts from it.

Access logs and optional analytics

To deliver pages and maintain security, the hosting service may process IP addresses, browser information, access times and requested pages. Log retention depends on the actual hosting configuration. This site requires no login and does not use this information to build individual reader profiles.

Umami loads only if a deployment provides both its script URL and website ID. When enabled, the script is served by umami.gentlecactus.top, self-hosted on a Tencent Cloud server in Nanjing, and may record page visits, referrers and limited on-site interaction events. Tracking runs only on the production domain, respects Do Not Track, and excludes query parameters and fragments from this site’s page URLs. Event properties do not include tool inputs, prompts, file contents or keys. This site does not send your search terms to a Search Console page script.

External links and content

If you follow an external website or video link, that service may handle data under its own policy. Display ads are disabled by default. If ads or new third-party services are enabled later, this notice will be updated and relevant content labelled where appropriate.
